I am planning to go to school for graphic design next year and they are suggesting I submit some of my art pieces in my portfolio.
I have no art pieces.
I suggest you start out by drawing on a notebook and just flesh out your ideas into sketches and doodles. This will give you a better idea of your thought process and how you conceptualize your ideas as an artist. From here, you can turn your doodles into graphic design that you can submit as part of your portfolio.
Also, if you feel your skill level isn’t up to par with your peers, then you must watch tutorial videos on Youtube on how to create design using the latest tools and applying the most effective techniques to achieve the best results.
Lastly, you should get help to teach you how to make piece and compile them into an art portfolio that is sure to impress colleges you’re applying for. We at PortPrep offer flexible and affordable coaching service for this very purpose. Click here to learn more about our coaching packages and mobilize your plans of getting into college!
